The Bohemian Club prides itself on its history of casting a wide net to attract new employees as well as supporting “best employer” strategies to maintain employee loyalty leading to a near 40% employee return each year. The Bohemian Club regularly attends recruitment events at local Sonoma County High Schools as well as the Culinary Institute of America, Sonoma State University, Santa Rosa Junior College and in 2018 initiated partnerships with Sonoma State and the Santa Rosa Junior College to provide college credit in tandem with Grove employment. Also, the Bohemian Club is the sponsor of one of the most respected management internship programs available to Hospitality Management students interested in private clubs. Each year the program recruits students from distinguished universities representing all regions of the U.S.; many former interns have gone on to achieve notable careers initiated with their Bohemian Club experience.

The “City Club:” The Bohemian Club has, for many years, been successful in attracting a skilled, energetic, and diverse pool of talented and experienced employees to work its events.
Housed in a spacious, six story brick building close to Union Square, the Bohemian Club offers numerous services and benefits to its members, including two dining rooms, a lounge, library, art gallery, game room barber shop and theater that seats six hundred people. There are twenty guest rooms for overnight use by members and there are also six meeting/banquet rooms. Banquets or weddings can serve up to five hundred. The City Club includes but not limited to:
Main Dining Room – Formal with 300 seats, serving Dinner only Thursday and one Friday per month.
Presidents’ Room – Formal with 80 seats, serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Tuesday – Friday.
Grove Room – Formal with 40 seats, serving Lunch and Dinner. (Private Dining)
Red and Owl Room – Formal with 70/80 seats, serving Lunch and Dinner. (Private Dining)
Art Gallery – Formal with 120 seats, serving Dinner only. (Private Dining)
Monte Rio
The Grove: Each year the Bohemian Grove’s employee count dramatically increases to nearly 650 seasonal employees. Nearly 75% of the seasonal Grove staff are from within Sonoma County. The remainder make the journey each year from as far as New York, Florida, Arizona, and Colorado, to spend four weeks in the Grove’s unique work environment.
The Grove includes a common outdoor theatrical and dining venues, member-maintained camp structures, roads, and trails meandering through magnificent stands of virgin Redwood trees and other native hardwoods, and access to the Russian River.
The Bohemian Club has, for many years, been successful in attracting a skilled, energetic, and diverse pool of talented and experienced employees to work the summer events. Grove summer staff have, as long as the club has existed, served as a valuable asset, and key component, to the success of the Spring Jinks and Summer Encampment events, enjoyed annually by members and their guests.
